Amul, short for Anand Milk Union Limited, is an Indian dairy cooperative founded in 1946 and based in Anand, Gujarat. It is managed by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. Amul has been instrumental in India’s White Revolution, which transformed India from a milk-deficient nation to the world’s largest milk producer.
